Daily Journal:
We have the simplest school, in my class only 15% of parents have higher and secondary specialized education, the rest have regular secondary education. First: children don't read. There are children in the 9th grade who have difficulty putting letters into words. We decided to test reading techniques in high school, from 5th to 7th grade. It turned out that reading gets worse with each subsequent grade. Literature teachers groan - they only read cheat sheets.

Diomede is the tip of the iceberg
“The case of Bishop Diomede,” which claimed to be at the top of church news ratings, turned out to be “a storm in a teacup.” The long delay of the synodal decision to defrock the Chukchi bishop, which seemed to create additional intrigue with suspicions of the weakness of the highest church leadership, in fact emphasized the insignificance of the rebellion on the outskirts. Two dozen protesters in Chisty Lane, lack of mass support from the flock - so you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Fairy tale and reality
Another historical film - this time "Admiral" about the fate and love of Alexander Kolchak and Anna Timireva - as usual, causes conflicting assessments. The opinion of the audience, many of whom are delighted with the love story in the settings of the First World War and the Civil War, contrasts with the claims of experts who pay attention to numerous “blunders”. However, now, it seems, not a single film that claims to show historical events “as they really were” can do without the latter.

Leave a tip
On October 17, the Moscow Arbitration Court declared the bulk of the tax claims against the British Council invalid. Additional charges for income tax and VAT were, for the most part, recognized as unlawful, and penalties were significantly reduced. Thus, the Council’s claim against the interregional inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) No. 47 was satisfied.

Fall, fall, fall...
Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin announced on October 17 that Russian stock market indices will continue to decline due to risks in the global market. He said this during a Duma meeting. The RTS and MICEX indices, as Kudrin recalled, are related to the performance of the Russian economy, to world indices, and also reflect changes in oil prices. The Russian economy is closely linked to the world economy, since Russia is a supplier of energy resources.
