In Moscow, on August 15 at 18.00, a meeting “Save Citizen Mokhnatkin” will be held on Triumfalnaya Square near the monument to Mayakovsky. Let us recall that Sergei Mokhnatkin received 2.5 years in prison for entering Triumfalnaya Square on December 31, 2009 during the dispersal of a rally in defense of Article 31 of the Russian Constitution and was detained when he reprimanded a policeman who was rude to an elderly woman.

On August 16, from 18.30 to 20.00, a rally in defense of the Khimki Forest will be held in Moscow at the monument to Griboyedov. Leaders and activists of the Movement for the Defense of the Khimki Forest, Solidarity, Left Front, Yabloko, Greenpeace, WWF, human rights organizations, and initiative groups in defense of the ecology of Moscow and the Moscow region will come and speak at the rally. The rally is held without political symbols.
