Opening of the "third world"
Exactly 200 years ago At the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the island of Haiti (then it was called San Domingo) shook several conflicts at once. Firstly, black slaves fought for liberation, secondly, mulatto fought for equality with white, thirdly, France fought with England and Spain for the possession of the island. The newborn US, on the one hand, helped the islanders to defend independence, and on the other, they did everything so that the revolution would not spread to them.
