Chavez loses in a constitutional referendum

Photo by ar 50.7 percent of Venezuela citizens voted against the constitutional reform of Hugo Chavez, expanding the presidential powers, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Venezuela National Electoral Council. Such results are made public after the counting of 90 percent of the ballots. The changes proposed by Chavez, canceling, in particular, restrictions on the re -election of the same person to the presidency, supported 49.29 percent of referendum participants.
