1983. Resolution on strengthening labor discipline
30 years ago, on August 7, 1983, a resolution of the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR was adopted “On Strengthening the Socialist Labor Discipline”, which provided for the punishment for the release of marriage, absenteeism and lateness to work and drunkenness at the workplace, which was equated with a walk. The most characteristic example of his implementation was mass raids on visitors to shops, cinemas and even baths during working hours.
