On the outskirts of Ulan-Ude, several buildings are burning due to hurricane winds, said the mayor of the capital of Buryatia, Igor Shutenkov. “Due to the disaster, there are power supply disruptions, fires in the private sector, damage to fences, roofs, billboards, communications, bus stops, broken large branches, and trees,” he wrote in his Telegram channel. The head of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, wrote that five fires were recorded in Ulan-Ude and its suburbs.
