Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky became famous in the late 2000s when they were caught and convicted of brutal murders. They chose their victims at random: they attacked people of non-Slavic appearance in Moscow. They acted mercilessly: they cut off the ear of one of the dead, having previously stabbed him more than 50 times. However, despite the number of crimes and their cruelty, they could not be sentenced to life imprisonment.
