Natalia Shkurenok Farrar, Straus and Giroux Publishing The famous photographer Mikhail Lemkhin was friends with Brodsky all his life: both were natives of Leningrad, both left the country, and already in America Mikhail made the bulk of the photographic portraits, which he included in the album - there are 186 frames in total. But it consists not only of Brodsky’s portraits. Without Leningrad, precisely Leningrad, and not St. Petersburg, this publication would not have existed.
