Blog of the day: 100 works with Google Fonts for 100 days
Designer Duh Kim in his blog 100 Days of Fonts publishes work with creative use of various fonts. As Kim explains, the main goal of her blog is the creation and publication of work using fonts from Google Fonts. Star Wars fans launched an X-Wing into space
Participants in the Helium Tears project launched a model of the X-Wing fighter from the movie “Star Wars” into space using a balloon. They reported this on their Twitter. The announcement of the launch is addressed to director JJ Abrams, who is working on the seventh episode of the Star Wars series. The authors of the launch want to receive an invitation to the premiere of the new episode of “The Force Awakens.” Helium Tears was created by Matt Kingsnorth and Phil St. Pierre.

IOS and Android keyboards were compared for chiragana and English
The interface designer Luis Mena, who bought the Nexus 5 smartphone after the IOS 7 release, and then returned to the iPhone 6, compared the work with keyboards in iOS 8 and Android 5.0. Mena usually uses English, Spanish and Japanese layouts. The keyboard in Android, the designer noted, looks cleaner and gives access to a larger number of functions for fewer steps. For example, it has direct access to a comma and point, a change of tongue, short access to numbers, as well as color accents.

Fox showed Nightcrawler from X-Men: Apocalypse
X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has released an image of actor Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) from the film. After some time, reports Comic Book Resources, Singer deleted the photo from Instagram, most likely hinting at the character's ability to instantly disappear by teleporting short distances. The film "X-Men: Apocalypse" is a sequel to "Days of Future Past". The film will take place in the 80s of the XX century.

Three new filters appeared on Instagram
In the Instagram application for iOS and Android added three new filters. They are called Lark, Reyes and Juno. The first saturates red, enhances blue and green. He suits the landscapes. The second makes photos "vintage." And the third adds green to cold colors and white in warm colors. Thus, Juno is suitable for portraits. Google will conduct an experiment to buy patents
Google announced the opening of the experimental service for the acquisition of patents on technology from individual inventors and small companies. Google announced this in an official press release. The Patent Purchase Promotion service will work from May 8 to 22 of this year. Photo of the day: Iceberg formation in Antarctica
NASA published a series of photographs (taken by Terra and Aqua satellites) showing the formation of the iceberg B-34 in Antarctica. Photos are published by the NASA Earth Observator. Iceberg was discovered on March 6 this year. The National Center for the Ice Cover of the United States (US National Ice Center).
