A native of Chechnya who unsuccessfully sought political asylum in Poland has disappeared in Moscow.
In the center of Moscow, a 30-year-old native of Chechnya, Zaurbek Zhamaldaev, who was convicted several years ago for participation in an armed group and unsuccessfully tried to obtain political asylum in Poland, disappeared in the center of Moscow, reports the human rights organization Memorial. According to his comrades, the day before Zaurbek’s disappearance, they noticed that they were being monitored.
