Ramzan Kadyrov asked to “take away” gays from Chechnya in order to “cleanse the blood”
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, answering a question from a journalist from the American television channel HBO about the persecution of gays in Chechnya, called for “taking away” gays from the republic, if there are any. During an interview on the development of mixed martial arts in Chechnya, “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” host David Scott asked Kadyrov if he wanted to comment on reports of persecution of gays.
