A case was opened against the leadership of the Kalmyk colony for aiding terrorists
The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases of aiding terrorists against the former head of IK-2 in Kalmykia, Pavel Bataev, and his deputy, Artur Tsamaev, according to the department’s website. According to investigators, they allowed prisoners to bring in mobile phones, tablets, extremist books, symbols of terrorist organizations and “other prohibited items and substances” in exchange for bribes.
