German intelligence reported 50 thousand dead in Ukraine
At least 50,000 people have died in the conflict in eastern Ukraine. This was reported by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, citing sources in German intelligence. These data are almost 10 times higher than the official estimate, voiced earlier by President Petro Poroshenko: according to him, during the conflict in Ukraine, 1,200 military personnel and 5,400 civilians were killed. As the sources of the newspaper explained, official data cannot correspond to reality.
