Nationalists lost regional elections in France
Far-right National Front Marine Le Pen lost the second round of regional elections in France. In the first round, the nationalists won first place with nearly 28 percent of the vote. According to the results of the second round, they failed to win in any of the regions. Nicolas Sarkozy's conservative Republican party won in at least six regions, while the Socialists, led by French President Francois Hollande, won in at least five, according to preliminary vote count results.
