The journalists' union refused to report on the income and expenses of its members
The trade union of journalists, established in Russia in March 2016, called the proposal to report on the income and expenses of their members, which is contained in the national anti-corruption plan, discriminatory. This plan was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 1. “We thank the Kremlin for the recommendations, but with our income and expenses, as well as other obligations of a property nature, we are able to deal with it ourselves,” the union said in a statement.
