One person died and five were injured due to snowfall and wind in Moscow
In Moscow, five people were injured due to snowfall and wind, and one more died. The cause of death, according to the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, was the fall of a tree and a broken power line. Moscow Vice Mayor Pyotr Biryukov told the Interfax news agency that 370 trees had been felled in the city. On the Filevskaya metro line, trains were interrupted for a while because of a fallen tree. “Over the past day, there were facts when icy trees fell on cars,” added the deputy mayor.
