In Belarus, a Ukrainian Radio correspondent was sentenced to eight years in prison for espionage
A court in Belarus found Pavel Sharoiko, a correspondent for Ukrainian Radio, guilty of espionage. The Ukrainian received "more than eight years" in prison, said Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Igor Kizim. Kizim did not name the exact term of punishment. Sharoiko is in the pre-trial detention center of the Belarusian KGB, where he was recently visited by his wife and the Ukrainian consul, Kizim said. According to the ambassador, Sharoiko does not complain about the conditions of detention.
