The US Senate voted to appoint Brett Kavanaugh, accused of sexual assault, to the Supreme Court
The US Senate voted to appoint 53-year-old Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexual harassment, to the Supreme Court. 50 senators voted in favor, 48 against. During the meeting, a protest against the appointment of a judge continued outside the Capitol building. Three women accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual harassment and assault during college parties in the 1980s. One of them, psychology professor Christine Ford, testified before the Senate.
