The real name of Vladimir Popov, accused of attempting to organize a coup in Montenegro, is Vladimir Moiseyev, and he is a GRU officer, Bellingcat and The Insider have discovered. In 2006-2009, Moiseyev trained in military unit 48427 in Moscow, which belongs to the GRU special forces. Nikita Minin, who is involved in the case of the attempted change of power in Montenegro, served in the same unit. Minin, the authors of the investigation point out, uses his real last name.
