In Venezuela, two largest oil refineries shut down due to a power outage.
Venezuela's two largest refineries, Amuay and Cardon, have shut down operations, Reuters reported, citing industry sources. According to preliminary data, the reason for the shutdown of the refinery was a power outage on the Paraguana Peninsula, where the enterprises are located. “Now it will be difficult to get the system up and running again,” the agency quoted a comment posted on social media by a refinery employee. Venezuela's state oil company, PDVSA, has not yet commented on the shutdown.
