The island of Urup (Kuril ridge, Sakhalin Region) as a result of the earthquake that occurred there on November 15, 2006, moved 6 cm to Sakhalin, the director of the Institute of Marine Geology and Geophysics (IMGIG) of the Russian Federation Boris Levin told Interfax.
