Italian scientists discovered unknown architectural work of Michelangelo
According to one of the experts, the associate professor of the Department of the History of Architecture of Florentine University Gabriel Morolly, the project of the famous cylindrical bell tower of the Dome Cathedral in the Tuscan city of Pietrasant (Lucca Province) undoubtedly belongs to Michelangelo, ITAR-TASS reports. The original shape of the bell tower repeats (in size, too) the triumphal column of Emperor Trajan, rising in the Roman forum.
