Orthodox celebrate Palm Sunday - the holiday of the entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem
Orthodox Christians celebrate the holiday of the entry of the Lord into Jerusalem on April 5, or, as it is also called in Russia, Palm Sunday. Patriarch Kirill headed the service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. According to the Gospel, 6 days before Easter , they met “in a tsar” at the entrance to Jerusalem, strengthened the road with palm branches - after all, on the eve he resurrected the deceased Lazarus, he was believed in the Son of God and saw the future king in him.
