The Office of the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said more than 3,000 people have died since the start of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The OHCHR report is published on the organization's website. The department noted that from April 14, 2015 to August 15, 2018, 2,737 civilians died in the Donbass, but taking into account the 298 deaths in the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 on July 17, 2014, the total number of civilian deaths was 3,035 people.
