Detained LGBT activists are released from the Tverskoye police station
Almost 5 hours after being taken to the police department, the activists detained at the State Duma and protesting against the adoption of the bill banning “propaganda of homosexuality” began to be released from the police department. As Elena Kostyuchenko told OVD-Info, the OVD tore her bag and kicked her out of the department without giving her any papers. The rest of the detainees are given protocols under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism).

At the Tverskoye police station, detained LGBT activists are charged with petty hooliganism
As detainee Olga Nikolaenko told OVD-Info, the detainees are charged under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism), which provides for an administrative arrest of up to 15 days or a fine of up to 1,000 rubles. Novaya Gazeta correspondent Elena Kostyuchenko is being charged under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer), which provides for arrest for up to 15 days.

Journalist Mikhail Sazonov was detained near the State Duma; he was beaten during the arrest
Stanislav Mudry, deputy editor-in-chief of the Ridus publication, told OVD-Info that the publication's correspondent Mikhail Sazonov, while on an editorial assignment at a rally of LGBT activists against the adoption of a bill banning "homosexual propaganda", was detained by the police and beaten. During the arrest, Sazonov showed his press ID to a police officer, after which he received a blow to the head, Stanislav Mudry told OVD-Info.

20 people detained near the State Duma are being taken to the Tverskoye police station
20 people were detained at the picket against the bill on “propaganda of homosexuality”: Elena Kostyuchenko, Olga Nikolaenko, Elena Melko-Cherepanova, Pavel Kaptanevsky, Elmira Shaykhraznova, Elena Yakovleva, Alexey Milovanov, Liginreida, Avrora Dobrochasova, Yana Sitnikova, Andrey Pinchuk, Alexey Voikov, Evtin Sergey, Osenin Vladimir and 6 other people. Not a single “Orthodox activist” has been detained yet.
