The court granted amnesty to a Chuvash activist accused of extremism for a post on a social network
Today, the Leninsky District Court of Cheboksary found Chuvash activist Dmitry Semenov guilty of public calls for extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code) for a post on a social network and fined him 150 thousand rubles. After the verdict was pronounced, the court amnestied Semenov, releasing him from the fine and expunging his criminal record. This was reported by lawyer Evgeny Gubin, who represents Semenov’s interests in court.
