At the debate in the case of Ivan Nepomnyashchy, accused of participating in the mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012, and using violence against two policemen, the prosecutor asked to sentence the defendant to three years and six months in prison. Earlier, other defendants in the Bolotnaya case, Alexei Polikhovich, Denis Lutskevich, Stepan Zimin, Alexei Gaskarov, Alexander Margolin, were sentenced to the same term.
