Preacher Shoip Tutaev, who, after returning to Chechnya and during a meeting with the head of the republic, publicly retracted his criticism of Ramzan Kadyrov, was held for a week and probably tortured. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the head of the "Civil Assistance" committee Svetlana Gannushkina. According to Gannushkina, Tutaev, who was extradited from Bulgaria, was immediately detained by Chechen security forces in his homeland.
