The Federal Migration Service canceled the residence permit of the head of the human rights project “Legal Initiative” Vanessa Kogan, explaining that she “is a threat to the security” of Russia. Kommersant reports this. In September, Kogan, who lived in Russia for 11 years, applied for Russian citizenship. Arriving at the Sakharovo migration center in Moscow to get acquainted with the decision, she learned that she was not only denied citizenship, but also had her residence permit revoked.
