The court fined a former Open Russia activist for failing to submit a report under house arrest.
The court fined Anastasia Shevchenko, a former member of Open Russia , because of a party report not submitted on time - the activist could not take the document to government agencies, as she was under house arrest. She posted about the incident on her Facebook. Shevchenko, as the head of the regional branch of the Civil Initiative party, was obliged to make a report, but she was forbidden to leave the house and send mail, so she could not hand over the document to officials.
