Why is it so hot in St. Petersburg? And when will it get colder?
The supervisor of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Wilfand answered questions from journalists about the weather in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, July 13. Wilfand explained that the abnormal heat in St. Petersburg and neighboring regions of the north-west is due to a longer light day in the summer season, during which the surface warms up longer, writes RIA Novosti. Because of this, the temperature in St. Petersburg is higher than, for example, in Moscow.
