Hundreds of dead pelicans found on Peruvian beaches
More than 500 pelicans and five sea lions have been found dead on the beaches of the northern coast of Peru, the BBC reports. Zoological experts clarified that the animals died several days ago, but the reasons for their death have not yet been established. Carcasses of animals and birds were found along more than 70 kilometers along the beaches in the Piura and Lambayeque regions. Previously, cases of mass bird deaths were recorded in the USA, Canada, Italy, France and other countries.
