My two cents about primaries and elections in Omsk
A completely unrelated topic, it would seem, but it touches a nerve - probably because this is a story about municipal elections, and about electronic democracy, and about civil self-organization. Very briefly for those who don't know. In mid-July, mayoral elections will be held in the city of Omsk (due to the early resignation of the previous mayor). Omsk is a city of over a million people, and one of the very few large cities in Russia where direct elections of the mayor remain.

I'm glad I live in modern Russia
“As long as the state allows itself to interfere in the affairs of literature, literature has the right to interfere in the affairs of the state” Joseph Brodsky Sometimes it seems to me that being born at such a time is great luck and a great chance. There is no war, thank God, but there is stupidity, bigotry, vulgarity, hypocrisy, servility and whoredom that are familiar to us - in assortment.

What awaits the blasphemers from Pussy Riot?!
What fate awaits the members of the Pussy Riot gang and their masters, and other blasphemers who attempted to desecrate our Mother Church?! Like air, they need confession of their terrible sins and sincere repose; if they do not realize and come to this, to repose about what they have done before the Lord God, perhaps they will consciously program themselves, their souls, for self-destruction.

Putin or his clones?
Strongly noticed. The structure of the auricle is an element of an individual compositional portrait (in a primitive version and expansion-"photobot") and is studied by legal students in the course of forensics. (See Fig. 26-30 on this link) If the enlarged ears are not a product of Photoshop, then this selection may be a reason for serious reflection. __________________________________________________ Photos and primary commentary are taken from Andronnik_a . There is no need to usurp the right to truth
The other day two important social events took place. The first is a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe (PACE). A report on the Russian presidential elections held in March was read out. The second is a prayer service of the Orthodox in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior against attacks on the church. Oddly enough, there is a common thing that unites these events after the fact - I’m talking about the strange, although expected, reaction of the liberal public.
