Oppositionist Nikolai Statkevich was detained in Minsk
In Minsk on Monday, an opposition politician, a former presidential candidate Nikolai Statkevich, was detained on Monday. About this Belarusian service Radio Liberty was told by his wife Marina Adamovich. According to her, Statkevich was detained the day after the action of the memory of the victims of the Stalinist repressions near the Belorussian KGB building. On Tuesday, October 31, Statkevich planned to speak at sessions of the Eastern Partnership Parliamentary Assembly (Evronest) in Kyiv.
