Putin's last chance: Europe has reduced its dependence on Russian gas to a minimum, but the Kremlin still has room for blackmail
Even taking into account LNG, the share of Russian gas supplies in European consumption this year will be less than 15%, but this level of dependence poses a threat to Europe, warns the International Energy Agency. In the event of a colder winter, the cessation of remaining pipeline gas supplies and a reduction in LNG supplies will lead to storage levels reaching critical levels by the end of the heating season.
