In my school years, young men-graders were supposed to undergo two-week training field fees for initial military training. In the village of Petrino, we dug trenches, marched, ran in gas masks, shot. The concept of military discipline then many of us was the most frivolous. So with a friend of a fraction, being sentry, we left a post for a while at night and made our way into the kitchen for bread.
