Leaders of the Chelyabinsk region are concerned about the problems of interethnic conflicts
On December 9, 2004, the government of the Chelyabinsk region held a meeting of the Council on Ethnic Issues, at which issues of preventing interethnic conflicts were discussed. The meeting participants noted that today there are no noticeable manifestations of interethnic and interfaith intolerance in the region, and, nevertheless, preventive measures should be taken to protect the South Urals from extremism.
