Foreign students of Rostov blame police for the death of a student from Cameroon
On December 15, 2004, about two hundred foreign students from Rostov held a protest action in connection with the death of a student from Cameroon. 25-year-old Cameroonian citizen Claris Gerardine Mbang, who studied at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of the Rostov State University, was detained by police on December 7, 2004 in the city of Shakhty due to problems with documents and placed in a reception center. A few days later, the student died.
