The fence of the synagogue in Saltykovka is painted
On February 19, 2005, unidentified persons painted the fence of the synagogue in Saltykovka, Moscow region. Earlier in Saltykovka, unknown people tried to set fire to the synagogue. According to the head of the local community, Izidor Vaiser, after the arson, images of swastikas and anti-Semitic inscriptions began to appear regularly on the building of the local school, on the wall of the transformer substation, on shops and other places in Saltykovka.
