The court did not see “national hatred” in the case of beating of rabbis
On July 21, 2005, the Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow delivered a verdict in the case of the beating of two rabbis in January 2005 to two skinheads - Dmitry Rozanov, born in 1983. (sentenced to 4 years in a penal colony) and Andrey Maksin, born in 1986. (1.5 years in a colony-settlement). The court found the teenagers guilty of assault and causing moderate injuries, but refused to recognize national hatred as one of the motives.
