Anti-Semitic attack in Izhevsk
On April 15, 2006, during the celebration of the Jewish Passover (Pesach), an anti-Semitic incident occurred in Izhevsk. A group of 15 teenagers, noticing 2 yeshiva students, began loudly shouting anti-Semitic slogans, "Sieg Heil!" and throw small stones. The chairman of the Jewish community, Yakov Maltsev, and the translator, who were very frightened by the situation, together with the guests had to go into the lobby of the Izhevsk hotel to wait for the departure of this group.
