On September 22, 2006, a seminar "Hate Speech and Gypsies", organized with the participation of the European Roma Rights Center ((ERRC), was held in Samara. It continued a series of similar events held in Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Rostov , Yekaterinburg . The seminar was attended by representatives of the Roma communities of the region, journalists, lawyers, public activists.
