On January 15, 2007, the Severodvinsk City Court (Arkhangelsk Region) recognized an article published in the local newspaper Severny Rabochiy on July 8, 2006 as extremist material. An article by Georgy Znamensky (a member of the National Power Party of Russia) "Orange flask" was previously published in the newspaper "Soviet Russia" (July 1, 2006).

On December 26, 2006, the Ministry of Finance of the Perm Territory sent a letter to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Perm Territory demanding that 50,000 rubles be returned to the region's budget. In 2002, the Governor of the Perm Region allocated these funds for the restoration of the building of the Cathedral Mosque on Osinskaya Street. The money was transferred to the account of the RDUM, and not to the account of the Muslim community, which is the operator of the building.

On January 17, 2007, a bill “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On Meetings, Rallies, Demonstrations, Processions and Pickets” was submitted to the State Duma for consideration.” The authors of the document were deputies P. Voronin, I. Barinov, V. Semago (United faction Russia"), A. Zhukov, G. Seleznev (Motherland faction of S. Baburin) and I. Lebedev (LDPR faction).

The Interdepartmental Commission on Religious Associations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) supports the Russian Orthodox Church in its aggressive attitude towards other religious organizations.

On January 17, 2007, the first open meeting of the Regional Council of Nationalities was held in Arkhangelsk at the Marfin House. The meeting was held in the form of a "round table", which was attended by representatives of the authorities, law enforcement agencies, the media, ethno-cultural associations and national-cultural autonomies, religious and human rights organizations. The declared theme is counteraction to extremism in the Arkhangelsk region.

On January 19, 2007, it became known that in the city of Noyabrsk, Tyumen region, a movement of neo-fascists "White Brotherhood" appeared. According to Artur Kobanevsky, a correspondent for the Newsn.ru information portal (Noyabrsk), the movement has been operating in the city since the summer of 2006. Under the leadership of three adult leaders (born in 1987, 1985 and 1986), about a hundred teenagers are united - students of local schools.
