The prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region referred to court a criminal case against Rinat Galiullin, Airat Lukmanov, Vadim Khabirov, and Ruslan Abdrashitov, accused under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of a religious organization, in respect of which the court made a decision that has entered into force on the prohibition of activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activities).

In mid-April 2007, it became known that the Moscow Basmanny prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against the leader of the neo-Nazi organization "Format-18" Maxim Martsinkevich (nicknamed "Tesak"). The reason for initiating the case was a fascist action with slogans and threats organized by activists of the National Socialist Society (NSO) and the Format-18 organization in the Bilingua club during the political debate between Yulia Latynina and Maxim Kononenko on February 26, 2007.

On April 26, 2007, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his address to the Federal Assembly, announced that Rosregistration would be instructed to issue a warning for extremist activity and maintain a federal list of materials of an extremist nature.
