The Moscow City Court confirmed the decision to recognize Said Nursi's books as extremist literature
On September 18, 2007, the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Koptevskiy Court of Moscow of May 21, 2007, declaring Russian translations of books by the Muslim theologian Said Nursi as extremist literature. Thus, as of September 18, 2007, the court's decision entered into force. This means that the publication and mass distribution of these books is now prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation. See also the section "Religion in a secular society" .
