A refugee from Azerbaijan was beaten in Moscow
On November 30, 2008, at about 11:00 in Moscow, on Stroiteley Street near the Universitet metro station, three unknown men in masks severely beat Atakhan Abilov, a refugee from Azerbaijan. A. Abilov was taken to the hospital with a brain injury, concussion, and a broken nose. Abilov came to Russia in 2007 and was officially recognized by the FMS as a refugee. After that, UNHCR decided to resettle Abilov in another country.
