In the shopping center "Kalevala" 18-year-old Nikolai Kochetkov, being in a state of intoxication, found out that the grandfather of his friend Sh. was a Jew. After that, Kochetkov hit Sh. several times with his fists, and when he fell to the floor, he started kicking him on the head and body, accompanying the beating with nationalist statements.
