Swastika on a Catholic church in Veliky Novgorod
On the night of January 27, 2009, in Veliky Novgorod, vandals, using spray paint, painted a swastika on the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the only Catholic church in the Novgorod region. The priest, who discovered the Nazi symbol, called the police and wrote a statement to law enforcement agencies. The priest also said that in 2007 Nazi skinheads beat the parishioners of the church, students from Africa, near the church.
