During July 2009, according to our data, at least 6 people suffered from racist and neo-Nazi attacks (in July 2008, 3 people were killed and 25 people were injured of varying severity). All the July attacks were carried out by Nazi skinheads. In total, since the beginning of 2009, at least 36 people have died from such attacks, at least 171 have received various injuries (during the period of January-July 2008, at least 371 people were injured, 73 of whom died).

On July 31, 2009, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, having rejected the cassation appeal , recognized the ban on the international religious organization Tablighi Jamaat as lawful. The complaint was filed by the human rights association "AGORA" . Recall that we do not consider this decision lawful, since this organization neither practices nor promotes violence.

On July 6, 2009, the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region closed the criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 (incitement of hatred, promotion of exclusivity and humiliation of human dignity on the basis of attitude to religion), which in June 2008 was filed against a member of the religious group of the city of Asbest, I. Yu. Ananyin.
