In the Kirov region, police brutally beat a local resident, citing national hatred
On October 8, 2009, it became known that in September 2009, in the village of Yurya, Yuryansky District, Kirov Region, police officers beat up a local resident of Azerbaijani origin, Shovket Ali-ogly Piriyev. Piriyev was detained when he was at his home. He was dragged out into the street, his car was searched, and, having shown some kind of powder, they took him to the regional department of the Federal State Drug Control Service.
